LIFE LIST: BUY COFFEE FOR THE PERSON BEHIND ME

"What this world needs is a new kind of army…
                                                           an army of the kind"

Life List: buy the person's order in line behind me at a drive through

When: Valentine's Day 2013

Where: Starbucks

Cost: $2.70....the cheapest LIFE LIST item ever and it was priceless!

Why this is on my list: I've always wanted to do this, but have been hindered by a lack of money and intestinal fortitude....but mostly a lack of money.

Plans to do it again? Actually, it was such a good feeling I think I'm going to do it on every holiday! And I think I'm going to try to get as many people as I can to do it with me on St Patricks Day!

Was it life changing? Surely, it's inspired me to do this much more often and try to rally others to do it too! It was funny when we pulled into the Starbucks drive through...of course there was NO BODY in line behind us...so we waited. We looked totally ridiculous. I kept telling Joel to pretend like he was counting his money or something. As soon as we saw a car we pulled up to the ordering box ( I seem to be blanking on a name that describes the magical voice machine where you place your order). I had prepared a Valentine's Day card at home stating why we were doing this and I did include my blog site...Joel thinks I'm trying to buy my readers. I would never do such a thing! Anyhow the next day I got this comment on The Ultimate Life List's facebook page;

"Thank you for the Valentine's coffee. You absolutely made my day :) I, in turn, paid for the coffee of the person in line behind me. You started a wonderful thing on such a wonderful day. Thank you again!"

...and that made my day :) in fact it makes my day every time I look at it! A lot of smiles came from just $2.70. I hope many of you will join me on St Patricks Day when I do it again!

The Ultimate Life List is now on facebook....please go on your friends facebook page behind their back and LIKE it!

Have you ever bought a strangers meal? Did you get to see their response?

    1. I know! It may have been a little tacky to include my blog address but I thought they could take a peek and read why I did it!
